Our Vision
We believe that all members of our school community can flourish as learners and as fulfilled individuals. We will provide rich opportunities for learners to engage and expand their world views, both collaboratively and independently. With joy in our hearts, we are inspired to make positive change in the world.
Early Years Foundation Stage - Pre-School & Reception
In the Early Years Foundation Stage, planning is less structured than in other year groups. It is responsive to the ongoing needs of the group to ensure that learning is meaningful and relevant and that it also builds on the children’s current interests both at home and at school.
Teachers plan to develop the three characteristics of effective learning (playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically.)
Our EYFS curriculum has been developed to take into account the skill set and development needs of the current cohort.
Staff use observation to assess the next steps in learning and to identify new interests and lines of enquiry. Planning ensures a balance across the prime and specific areas of learning.
